About Tamara Kircher
Tamara has been exploring the use of acupuncture and herbal medicine for the past fifteen years. Through her experience as a practitioner she has come to see the beneficial role of Chinese medicine in
helping with mental, emotional and physical illnesses.
Working with her clients she has found that herbs with their sustaining and nourishing qualities have a
helpful effect alongside acupuncture treatment.
Tamara is a founder member of the Indigo Touch - an organisation with promotes the use of holistic healthcare to help children with special needs
based in Petersfield, Hampshire. She works as part of a team of complementary therapists to help ease symptoms associated with the children’s conditions and improve their general well-being.
Tamara is a practical skills tutor at the College of Integrated Medicine (CICM) in Reading. She works with students at the college who are involved in a course learning TCM and Five Element acupuncture.
Tamara trained at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine graduating in 1986. She continued her studies in Paediatric Acupuncture with Julian Scott in 1987-88, then went on to study Chinese herbs with Michael McIntyre and Mazin Al-Khafiji graduating in 1994. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Tamara is presently studying western herbs. Tamara is the author of three books on Herbal Medicine; her most recent is Herbs for the Soul: Emotional Healing with Chinese and Western Herbs.
